History

Schott’s Pharmacy was incorporated in August 1974, by Gene A. Carlson, James Schott, Frank DeFrank, and Eugene Gualandri. The first store was opened in Ottawa, Illinois, and the second store was built a few months later in Marseilles, IL. The Ottawa pharmacy was sold and closed and in 1996. Gene A. Carlson, R.Ph. is now the sole owner. 

The pharmacy is a stand-alone building located at 800 W. Bluff Street in Marseilles, Illinois. The pharmacy occupies 2,500 square feet with ample free parking. The facility contains a prescription dispensing area, a non-sterile compounding lab, a private consulting room, an office and an OTC area stocked with nutritional supplements, vitamins, cough & cold remedies, greeting cards, and Fannie May candy.

The pharmacy is staffed by pharmacists Gene, Ken and Jane. Assisting the pharmacists are licensed and certified pharmacy technicians Shawn, Sophia, Nancy, Ashley, Jacey and Laurie.
