Individualized Medicine

Every one of us is an individual with different needs and medical issues. Sometimes people need medicine in doses that are not manufactured by drug companies. Or they may be unable to swallow the manufactured oral medicine. Compounding can solve these problems and meet the needs of the individual.

Working with your doctor, our pharmacists can customize medications to provide solutions to meet your individual needs.

People need custom compounded medicines when they have allergies to dyes, preservative, or added ingredients such as lactose. With a physician’s order, our compounding pharmacists can alter the dosage form to make it easier to ingest, or add a flavor to make it more palatable. We can prepare medications into unique dosage forms such as sublingual troches, lollipops, suppositories, transdermal gels, or liquid suspension.

The Triad: Patient - Physician - Pharmacist

We work with a variety of special needs practices, such as, Hospice, pain management, pediatrics, and OB/GYN to name a few. Compounding relies on the “triad” relationship between the patient, physician, and pharmacist. This relationship is vital in the process of creating customized, unique dosage forms to solve the individual needs of each patient.
